She has experience teaching students from the age of three to retired folks, and she works under the belief that music is truly meant for everyone. Hannah grew up in Louisville, KY and began learning viola in her school’s orchestra in 2009. She attended the Youth Performing Arts School and the Governor’s School for the Arts, and also participated in the Louiville Youth Orchestra. During this time, she could be spotted busking in several hospitals around town, where she grew to love music therapy.

After graduating college in May of 2020, Hannah began to focus on songwriting, violin, guitar, piano, and singing. This was in reaction to the dimminition of classical gigs available during the pandemic. Since then, she has become the touring violinist for the alternative rock band, The Ophelias, and can also be seen fronting her local band, Happy Tuesday.

Hannah believes that learning an instrument is to practice patience, finding gratitude in the small steps, and becoming more involved with the world around you. Hannah is passionate about guiding students through this process by setting personalized goals and finding music that caters to the student’s interest across genres.

What students and parents have to say about Hannah:

“We’ve been doing piano lessons with Hannah for more than a year, and she has been great. She’s patient, talented, and does a great job engaging our son and encouraging him to develop his musical talent. The recitals she’s organized have been a lot of fun and have helped build his confidence.”

“Hannah is a fantastic music teacher. She has taught piano and guitar to my children with patience and enthusiasm. They look forward to having their lessons with her!”

“Hannah has been teaching my child violin and piano for the past 2.5 years, and her kindness and patience have made all the difference. Her love of music shines through in every lesson, especially in the way she incorporates improvisation and playfulness. This approach has been incredibly helpful in navigating the challenging early stages of learning an instrument. I’m genuinely impressed with the rapid progress my child has made under Hannah’s guidance on both instruments.”

“Hannah has been an amazing violin teacher, and my daughter has improved greatly under her teaching. She is kind, flexible, knowledgeable, easy to work with, and an awesome musician. We are so pleased with the way she teaches and really cares about her students and pushes them to grow and be their best.”
