What to Expect
CMA forms rock and pop bands for teens (14-18) and adults (25+) with separate age-grouped rehearsals. You'll rehearse weekly, perform quarterly at Cincinnati venues like Fretboard Brewing, and work with professional coaches who've toured and recorded. No formal audition—just share a video sample so we can match you with the right group.
Who are cma bands perfect for?

Teens (14-18)
Students who love contemporary music and want real band experience. Build college audition material, explore genres beyond school band, or perform with peers who share your passion. CMA's teen bands provide structure, coaching, and regular stage time.
Adults (25+)
Adults returning to music after years away rediscover confidence in CMA bands. Working professionals and hobbyists join age-appropriate groups where everyone balances busy schedules. CMA handles rehearsal space and equipment—you just show up and play.

Band Program Questions
Yes. Teens (14-18) rehearse with age-appropriate peers, and adults (25+) rehearse with other adults. Both play rock and pop with age-appropriate song selections.
We ask for a short video or audio sample for placement—not a formal audition. This helps match you with musicians at your experience level.
Many band members return after long breaks. We pace rehearsals to rebuild skills and offer optional private lessons.
Most bands have 4-7 musicians (vocals, guitars, bass, drums, keys, horns).
Bring your personal instrument. CMA provides drums, amps, mics, and PA.
