A vibrant and versatile teacher, Eliza Thomason has been teaching full-time as Suzuki Violin, Viola, and Musicianship Faculty at the Talent Education Suzuki School in Norwalk, Connecticut. Previously, she taught privately in Columbus, Indiana, and with the Columbus Philharmonic Strings Camp. A member of the Suzuki Association of the Americas, Ms. Thomason completed a year-long Suzuki teacher training program at Vanderbilt University, with additional training from Mimi Zweig at Indiana University and at the Starling-DeLay Symposium on Violin Studies at The Juilliard School. Having grown up as a Suzuki student herself, Eliza is excited to pass on the joy of music and the Suzuki philosophy to her students. |

She is an enthusiastic chamber musician most recently participating in the Mimir Chamber Music Festival, coached by John Novacek, Kirsten Docter, Stephen Rose, and Brant Taylor. Eliza is an advocate of new music, having premiered several works for solo viola, chamber ensemble, and orchestra. She is currently pursuing a Doctor of Music in Viola Performance at University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music. Eliza has also studied music at Indiana University and Vanderbilt University.
