Wes Davidson

Wes Davidson has been playing the guitar since the age of four. He gives this credit for his ability to teach guitar lessons to an unusually young age group. Starting any musical instrument at an early age is of the highest importance for future success in mathematics, English and philosophy, as well as in other communication fields.
Wes is currently a working singer/songwriter with several music groups ranging from blues and country to a progressive style of acoustic and world-music rock. Currently working on a project called Acarya, he is exploring sounds from many kinds of music including those not typically found in the western hemisphere.
During lessons with younger students, Wes uses a traditional approach that includes proper ear training and development — with the mandatory goal of having fun. As the students advance though their most challenging levels, they are armed with the tools that have proven to be most successful throughout Wes’s own career. Wes encourages students to expand their knowledge of music to different genres that they may not have typically been exposed to. This is done through listening as well as musical application to the new methods of study. The more advanced students will concentrate on songwriting and self expression through music as this will be the ultimate goal of all lessons.
Wes firmly believes that it is the obligation of all who have knowledge to pass it to the ones who are without that knowledge, especially those of the younger generation. This is the gift that will continue to reach those who will in the near future wonder that haunting question of “what if?”
