Private acting instruction is available at CMA and is administered by Regina Cerimele-Mechley and Amy Faust. Both teachers are capable of instructing students as young as 8 years of age through high school and beyond; however, Amy Faust handles most of the students who are 8 to 14 years of age and Regina Cerimele Mechley handles most of the 14 to 18 year olds.

Private acting training at CMA is customized to the needs of our students. Generally, this training costs $55.00/hour and may continue for a few months to several years depending on the goals of the student.

Below are some of the benefits of acting study at CMA.

  • College auditions in straight drama and/or musical theater
  • Preparation for competitions such as Overture Awards
  • Preparation for auditions at schools in our area and local theater companies
  • Studies in movement for the actor (Chekhov, Laban, and Viewpoints)
  • Studies in the literature of Shakespeare
  • Textual analysis
  • Ballroom dance and tap (as needed for auditions)
  • Stage combat (as needed for auditions)
  • Business of theater
  • Acting for camera skills
